Final

I made the titles of the movie appear in the beginning. I also deleted a pov scene to give the film a smoother Finish. I also made all the actors names in white to be more easily read as well as adding music and making some of the audio louder for the audience to feel submerged.

Candidate 6054 Creative Critical Reflection

Number 4

I integrated technology in multiple ways during production. First, let's start with the simple ones i was using my digital camera to film the entire movie as well as a microphone. In the post-production process, I, of course, had to use premiere pro to give make my film. In there I used various futures to change the tone of the film. Music was one of the most essential parts of the movie since it gave it that right feel. To find the music, I used the internet to find my perfect song. To spread the film, I had to use different hard drives soi could work on the project no matter where I was.

I have had former experience with filming. I visit a film school in new York every summer to study and improve my skill. Although i did notice that y editing has been enhanced throughout this project. The first cut had some rough cuts and music that was way too loud. I had changed this in my revision to give my film a smoother look.My production was very planned out from microphone all the way to camera spots and where I would be standing when action was getting filmed.

My use of conventions where multiple things. I used a camera premiere pro actors props and so on. I also used my prior knowledge of editing to improve the visual appearance and keep the audience's interest going. The camera I used was very high quality to make the film seem more professional and realistic. As well as the props in the movie where all real. This was to intensify the fear and realism on the set for actors to perform best. I, of course, used the rain of that night to my advantage since it really creeps up the tone of the movie. Here are some pictures of behind the scenes as well as equipment. The social group in this is teenagers. It might touch on the kidnapping of a teenager and how it can affect lives. The film isnt too focused on a message instead than giving the audience a thrilling ride.

Number 2

The movie touches with the audience by showing them fear. This is not a horror movie, but it is a thriller that shows a real-life situation. This film will make the audience sit on the edge of their seat the entire time filled by anxiousness.I would distribute this movie by first starting it out in the movie theaters. After it gets accepted the marketing will kick in. Once the people get excited about the film and go to watch it, I will try to get it onto Netflix. Netflix at this moment is one of the most significant streaming services for teens so it perfect for me movie. Of course, i will try to get it onto multiple streaming apps as this is the future of film. I will try to get it and amazon Hulu and so on. If it does really well in all of these categories, I will create a limited only DVD release for movie collectors.

Distrubution research

I would distrubute this movie by first starting it out in the movie theters. After it gets accepted the marketing will kick in. Once the people get exited about the movie and go to watch it i will try to get it onto netflix. Netflix at this momment is one of the biggest streaming services for teens so it perfect for mh movie. Ofcourse i will try to get it onto multiple streaming apps as this is the future of film. I will try to get it and amazon hulu and so on. If it does really well in all of these categorys i will create a limited only dvd release for movie colletros.                                               

Mrketing

The poster will be spread on snap chat and Instagram. This will bring the teenagers to come and watch the movie with they are friends. It will also be put on billboard charts for to less technologically advanced as well as constant representation. I have also seen that movies use theme parks to promote certain, so that is a genius idea. If possible, I would love the final full-length movie to go onto Netflix as it has such a large audience. This can always help to make something grow and put me in the right position to create a sequel.The traditional distribution for a film s with trailer s and posters as well as online marketing ads. I would be using these methods as well. Fist I would start up excitement by announcing all over social media that a trailer is coming out and place ads online for it. This will make people check back in for the trailer and once they watch they will hopefully become more and more excited. This is how the people will come in, and I will follow up with a second trailer and shortly before the release a poster. The movie will help no come out and hopefully, do very well and put enough in the box office to create a second movie.

Target audince

My film is targeting teens and early adults. Due to this, I would want to advertise on Instagram and youtube as this is where most people in the age range of 18-25 are around. If possible, I would also try to get specific youtube and install famous people to promote the movie considering teenager s will listen to them. If for example, I could have a famous actor in an add say that he loves this movie or completely encourages people to watch it it will grow interested under the audience. The way that I find most of my movie is although though YouTubers who review them so I would contact certain youtubers to watch my movie and if they enjoy it to review it for some money of course,

Target

The movie hush is very similar to my movie. Hush targeted a mature but young audience. It mainly was distributed through social media websites such as Instagram. This site has an average user age of 18 through 25. This represents that they are trying to get the younger audience by also providing the movie for free on Netflix. Most teenagers watch horror movies on Netflix, so this was an excellent targeting of an audience to make sure the movie becomes successful.

revison 3

For my last revision i will try to add some filters and tweak the colors. The reason ia m doing this is because i want the footage to look more authentic and like a Hollywood production and not just a school project. I will also see if i can create the lighting in some areas and make the titles brighter as well as adding credit for the music i was using for the short.

Revison 2

For my second change of the movie will be editing the clips. Early on there is a pov clip in the movie from the antagonists point of view i did this to establish the pov shots early on but the cut seems rather sloppy and unnecessary. For this reason i am going  edit it out and smooth out the clip depending on what looks better i ill also try to see where i could cut some time out.

Revision 1

My first revision is going to be correcting the sound. The music in the background seems very quiet and can not properly be heard unless wearing headphones or high volume. Then after the intense section of the intruder moving up the stairs the volume seems very loud so i would lower the volume around that area to make it more balanced.  I also want the music going back up after the victim gets grabbed do to the after black screen so  people know its not over yet.

Feedback

The feedback for my movie was very well received. It noted a lot of  great things about the movie. It also showed me that people didn't like the shaky camera.My changes to the movie from now on are going to be siting my music and changing my fauns and color for credits.Other then these things listed there where no negatives on my compliment sandwich. I personally might add some filters to my movie to make it seem more cinematic and maybe tweek the music in the beginning of the movie.The target audience for this is teenagers or even adults if this was a feature length film it would most likely be rated R. The reason for this is because i like to make the movie as realistic as possible and for that i would need no artistic barrier.

Use of Conventions

This movie uses conventions such as a thriller vibe.This is due to that the movie is aimed at people who like horror movies and serous movies. We used a timed schedule during the shoot and we used a shot list. The shot list is a very vital and underrated part. The reason the shot list is so vital is due to the cause of  time management you don't sit at a action scene running around seeing what angle you like instead you just peek at your list and imagine it. I used a shaky cam do to unavailability of a camera stabilizer.
